BELGIAN-AMERICAN SETTLEMENT

Above Farm was reconstructed brick by brick on the grounds of the Heritage Hill State Park. It's an authentic example of the architecture brought from the Namur area of Belgium to Wisconsin after 1870. This farm dates back to 1890.

Barns were frequently constructed out of logs. Many barns of this style in Northeastern Wisconsin have been covered over with wood siding. A summer kitchen frequently was built apart from the main house.
